Canada-based Mako Mining Corp. is looking to start production in two years’ time at its Eagle Mountain Gold Project located near Mahdia, Region Eight (Potaro-Siparuni), after securing a 10-year deal with the Guyana Government.
Eagle Mountain is being advanced as a conventional open-pit gold mining operation. Based on reports, Mako Mining Corp plans to invest as much as US$120 million to construct the mine and extract a revised estimate of some 1.1 million ounces of gold.
