The Express has confirmed that Roger Alexander has resigned from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, and is tipped to be a candidate for the United National Congress.

There is speculation that he be contesting the Tunapuna seat being held by the incumbent Peoples National Movement's candidate Edmond Force.

Tunapuna is considered one the marginal seats that will decide who wins the April 28 General Election.
