Armed men opened fire on the operator of a Freeport vegetable stall on Tuesday, minutes after instructing her to close the place down.
Police said the incident occurred at 12.20 pm at Pro Veggies 868. The proprietor told police she was conducting sales when a silver car stopped and two armed, masked men came out. One of the men walked in and shouted, “Alyuh hadda close down this place now!”
He fired a shot at her, then fired shots at the building’s roof. The suspects then got back into the car and drove off.
