A 1-year-and-8-month-old girl was found dead in her home in Penal early Tuesday morning, prompting a police investigation.
Police responded to a sudden death report at Lowkey Trace, Penal at around 5a.m.
On arrival, they met with Gita Mahadeo, 60, who was caring for the child.
