A col­li­sion be­tween a ten-wheel­er truck and an H-100 pick­up in San­gre Grande has left one per­son se­ri­ous­ly in­jured.

Po­lice said Keron Popo, 35, own­er of Kings Shop Restau­rant and fa­ther of three from Fos­ter Road, re­mains in se­ri­ous but sta­ble con­di­tion at San­gre Grande Hos­pi­tal.

The truck dri­ver, who de­clined to be named, said the ac­ci­dent oc­curred around 9.30 am yes­ter­day near the Recre­ation Ground at Damarie Hill. He was head­ing west in his sand-laden truck when he no­ticed the white H-100 pick­up in the east­bound lane. He moved to the ex­treme left to avoid a head-on col­li­sion, but the pick­up struck the right side of his truck.
