OPPOSITION Leader Pennelope Beckles and Speaker of the House Jagdeo Singh were among the first to sign the condolence book for former Independent Senator Deoroop Teemal at the Rotunda Gallery, Red House, in Port of Spain yesterday.

Yesterday was the first day of the signing of the condolence book for Teemal. An official at the Parliament saw a low turnout from politicians, dignitaries and members of the public.

He said that Opposition members Faris Al-Rawi, Amery Browne, Vishnu Dhanpaul, Dominic Romain, Symon de Nobriga, Brian Manning and Kareem Marcelle were among those who signed the condolence book.
