Government says Trinidad and Tobago and the United States have been clear about the purpose of the USS Gravely’s visit to this country.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign and Caricom Affairs last evening said Government “has taken note of the statement issued by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela earlier (yesterday) afternoon in relation to the visit of the USS Gravely (DDG-107) to Trinidad and Tobago during the period October 26 to 30”.
“The Government of Trinidad and Tobago and the Government of the United States of America have been clear about the specific purpose of this visit as highlighted in official statements from the Ministry of Foreign and Caricom Affairs on October 23, 2025; the Embassy of the United States of America in Port of Spain on October 24, 2025,” and yesterday’s update by Foreign Affairs Minister Sean Sobers during a news conference, it noted.
