A teenager was shot and killed in Claxton Bay by a man who went to sell a dog, while accompanied by his ten-year-old daughter.

Christian Patterson, 18 of Pranz Gardens, Claxton Bay, died on the spot.

It was around 3.15 p.m. the man from El Dorado and his ten-year-old daughter, went to Maingotville, Claxton Bay to sell a dog - a toy poodle. Reports are that Patterson announced a robbery and pointed a gun at them. The father who became fearful for his and his daughter’s life, used his licenced firearm to fire several rounds in Patterson’s direction. Patterson died on the scene.
