En­er­gy Min­is­ter Dr Roodal Mooni­lal says Trinidad and To­ba­go’s crit­i­cal en­er­gy in­fra­struc­ture re­mains se­cure de­spite ris­ing glob­al ten­sions and the re­cent re­moval of a Unit­ed States radar sys­tem and mil­i­tary per­son­nel from To­ba­go.

The sit­u­a­tion comes amid es­ca­lat­ing ten­sions in the Mid­dle East in­volv­ing the Unit­ed States, Is­rael and Iran—de­vel­op­ments that have height­ened con­cerns about en­er­gy se­cu­ri­ty, po­ten­tial sup­ply dis­rup­tions and the risk of a wider con­flict.
