A 73-year-old pensioner was killed in Arima on Thursday night after being stabbed outside his home.
Stephen Lewis, also known as “Patches” or “Power,” was found lying in the Oceanic Supermarket parking lot around 10:30 p.m., bearing a deep incision to his neck. Police said he ran roughly 150 metres from his home after an altercation involving an unidentified man and woman, before collapsing.
A cutlass with blood stains and swabs were recovered at the scene. Lewis was pronounced dead by the District Medical Officer, and his body was taken to Sterling and Terry’s Funeral Home. Police enquiries are ongoing.
