A 78-year-old man is dead and his three-year-old grand­son in­jured af­ter an ac­ci­dent on a farm­ing prop­er­ty in Tal­paro on Sat­ur­day.

Around 4:30pm, a Mit­subishi Pa­jero that was parked on the land be­gan rolling back­wards. Jim­my Baal of Chick­land Road, Ca­paro, was stand­ing be­hind the ve­hi­cle hold­ing his grand­son when it struck him.

He was tak­en to the Ari­ma Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal where he was pro­nounced dead on ar­rival. His grand­son was tak­en to the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex, where he re­mains ward­ed in a sta­ble con­di­tion.
