Police are searching for a gunman who opened fire on a couple in St James late Monday night.
Around 10:45 p.m. a 42-year-old of El Socorro was driving a silver Nissan AD wagon with his female passenger, a 36-year-old of Village, San Juan. The pair told police they entered Dengue Street from Finland Street to collect $3,000 from a man they knew.
Upon seeing them, the man shouted obscenities and gunshots rang out. Gill sped away while the suspect chased on foot, firing at the vehicle as it headed south on Dengue Street, east onto Finland Street, then south onto Vidale Street.
