The Ca­roni Li­cens­ing Of­fice has been closed for the rest of the day. Of­fice op­er­a­tions will start again on Fri­day, ac­cord­ing to a state­ment.

In­di­vid­u­als with ap­point­ments do not need resched­ule as they will be ac­com­mo­dat­ed. Of­fi­cials say to com­plete a trans­ac­tion; an in­di­vid­ual must pro­vide proof of their pri­or ap­point­ment.

The clo­sure comes as heavy rain­fall led to flood­ing around the Ca­roni area with the Ca­roni Riv­er al­most at ca­pac­i­ty.
