Cliff Green, the hus­band of Olive Green-Jack, who was de­tained un­der the State of Emer­gency for her so­cial me­dia post call­ing on Venezuela to at­tack the Prime Min­is­ter at her pri­vate res­i­dence in South Trinidad, says his wife is sor­ry.

Guardian Me­dia spoke with the 61-year-old at his fruit stall just off Morne Co­co Road, Diego Mar­tin, yes­ter­day, hours af­ter he vis­it­ed his 44-year-old wife at the Women’s Prison in Arou­ca.

“She just tell me to tell the pub­lic to stay strong, you know, and she apol­o­gised. And you know, hope this thing could be over soon.” Green-Jack’s hus­band said she was de­tained three weeks ago, days af­ter her No­vem­ber 2 post was made on so­cial me­dia. The de­ten­tion or­der was signed on No­vem­ber 12.
