The case against a man who was charged with wounding his mother in law, leading to her losing her sight in one eye, during an alleged altercation back in 2023 was discharged after the prosecution failed to comply with the court’s orders.

Visham Sonny was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The matter came up for hearing before Master Kimitria Gray on Wednesday. The prosecution informed that the officer who laid the charge was on vacation and therefore was absent from the hearing.
