PRESIDENT of the Hindu Women’s Organisation (HWO) of Trinidad and Tobago, Kamla Tewarie, has called on Government Minister Saddam Hosein to amend the Hindu Marriage Register so that the bride’s profession can be included on new marriage certificates.

Hosein is the Minister of Legal Affairs and also serves as Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Tewarie said the HWO was pleased that the issue of marriage licences had been addressed.
