FORMER People’s National Movement (PNM) Senator and defeated candidate for St Augus­tine Renuka Sagramsingh-­Sooklal says she is disappointed but not ashamed by her loss.

Sagramsingh-Sooklal, one of the front line speakers at PNM campaign meetings, posted a video to social media on Tuesday, conceding defeat to the United National Congress (UNC) candidate, Khadijah Ameen, in the 2025 general election on Monday.

In the six-minute video, Sagram­singh-Sooklal thanked members of the public who reached out to her.
