Former local government minister Faris Al-Rawi on Wednesday claimed that 5,000 Unemployment Relief Programme (URP) workers will soon be facing the axe.

He said URP workers may soon face the same fate, and criticised the media for its lack of scrutiny of the plight of former CEPEP employees.
