Police are investigating a robbery at a fast-food outlet in Diego Martin on Sunday night in which bandits made off with more than $8,000.
Around 9:54 p.m., four armed men stormed the Wendy’s restaurant at Four Roads, Diego Martin, as staff members were closing for the night.
The suspects announced a robbery, subdued employees, and emptied the cash registers of $8,231 in cash, before fleeing. Police said the men jumped a back fence and escaped in a vehicle. The make and model of the getaway car remain unknown.
