San Fernando police are investigating two linked robbery incidents that occurred within minutes of each other on Thursday morning in La Romaine.
The first incident took place around 10:30 a.m. at a corner store on Alice Street. A man, described as dark skinned, approximately 6 feet tall, stocky build, dark complexion, wearing a black t-shirt, long blue jeans, black shoes, and a black bandana across his forehead, approached the shop owner and announced a robbery. He ransacked the cash register but only managed to steal $40 and a silver-colored knife. The victim escaped as the suspect ran off.
Just five minutes later, the same suspect targeted a nearby shop on Alice Street. He grabbed a pair of red-and-black handle scissors valued at $20 after announcing a robbery. The victim raised an alarm, and the suspect again fled, taking no money.
