Six Venezue­lan na­tion­als, were ar­rest­ed yes­ter­day dur­ing po­lice op­er­a­tions.

Po­lice said the an­ti-crime ex­er­cise took place be­tween 5 am and 9 am on Au­gust 9 in the Oropouche and Fyz­abad dis­tricts.

At Red­brick Trace, Dow Vil­lage, South Oropouche, of­fi­cers ar­rest­ed a 25-year-old Trinida­di­an man of Pabli­to Trace, Grants Road, Rousil­lac, for ob­struc­tion and re­sist­ing ar­rest. Six men, aged 24 to 30, from Tu­cu­pi­ta, Venezuela, were al­so ar­rest­ed for il­le­gal im­mi­gra­tion.
