A woman thwarted a house breaking on Thursday in East Dry River.
The 35-year-old, of Pierre Lane, reported that around 2:15 p.m., she noticed a man attempting to enter her home. The suspect, described as slim-built, dark skinned, with a noticeable scar on his left cheek, was wearing a white long-sleeve shirt and a blue-and-white tie.
The man initially tried to enter through the eastern side of the premises, then moved to the northern side, removing two window louvers in an attempt to break in. The woman raised the alarm, forcing the suspect to flee.
