Po­lice seized a ri­fle and am­mu­ni­tion dur­ing an an­ti-crime ex­er­cise in the Port-of-Spain Di­vi­sion yes­ter­day.

Be­tween 7 am and 9 am, of­fi­cers of the In­ter-Agency Task Force searched a build­ing in the Nel­son Street Plan­nings. On the rooftop, they found a ri­fle wrapped in plas­tic with a mag­a­zine con­tain­ing 22 rounds of 5.56 am­mu­ni­tion.

The ex­er­cise was led by ACP Hazel, Snr Supt Sook­er, Supt Ram­sook and ASP Singh.
