A cry for help from Mount St Benedict was answered yesterday morning by Public Utilities Minister Barry Padarath and the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC), after overgrown branches again caused sparking in overhead electrical wires and prompted fears of a possible fire.
Padarath has since expressed concern over the state of electrical infrastructure such as light poles at the historic Monastery and promised to oversee an upgrade by T&TEC and the necessary agencies.
