A late-night shooting in Waterloo has left one man dead and a woman wounded after their vehicle came under gunfire on Thursday night.
Police identified the injured woman as 33-year-old spiritual leader Renessa Ramjit Jagroop of Pluck Road, San Francique. The deceased man has been identified as Prakash Bissessar.
Around 9:45 p.m., officers received a report from the E999 Command Centre of a shooting along Opal Avenue, near Waterloo in Carapichaima. First responders from the Freeport Police Station arrived minutes later and found a white Nissan Note, registration PED 3365, off the roadway in a bushy area with its engine running and lights on.
