Fire of­fi­cials re­spond­ed to a small fire at Kapok Ho­tel this morn­ing.

Guardian Me­dia un­der­stands the fire broke out in Room 695 on the sixth floor, which was un­oc­cu­pied at the time.

Wright­son Road fire of­fi­cers re­ceived the call around 5.50 am and ar­rived to find thick, dark smoke com­ing from the room at the back of the com­pound. Crews ven­ti­lat­ed the area and con­tained the in­ci­dent.
