Police report anti-crime operations in the Central Division Monday, resulted in the arrest of six suspects for various offences including Kidnapping, Rape and Robbery with Violence.
In the first exercise, officers of the Chaguanas Criminal Investigations Department (CID), conducted an exercise between 8 a.m. and 12 noon, on June 23, in the district. During the exercise, a 50-year-old man of Cunupia, was arrested in connection with a report of Rape that occurred in the Chaguanas district on June 21st, 2025. The exercise was coordinated by Supt. Glodon, ASP Dipchand and Insp Conliffe.
In the second exercise, officers of the Couva CID and the Central Division Task Force, Area South, conducted an exercise between 6 and 2 p.m. on Monday in the Couva district. The exercise led to the arrest of five suspects, 25 to 42, for Burglary related offences and two men, ages 53 and 45, in connection with a report of Kidnapping and Robbery with Violence.
