Police are investigating the death of 79-year-old Terry Perriera, a pensioner of Corneilius Drive, Freeport, after his body was discovered early Tuesday morning.

According to the Freeport Police District, the body was found around 5:45 a.m. by a resident exercising along Limefruit Road. Officers responding to the scene observed Perriera lying in a shallow drain, with his head submerged in water.

Crime Scene Investigation officers processed the scene, and the deceased was formally identified.
