A 22-year-old Chaguanas man woke up to a shock after his car and personal belongings were stolen at Maracas Bay on Monday morning.
According to police, the victim, of Chaguanas, arrived at Maracas Beach around 9:35 a.m. with two men he had met recently. He parked his black Mitsubishi Lancer in the car park opposite Uncle Sam’s Restaurant and fell asleep on a beach chair.
When he awoke around 11a.m., both men were gone, and his car, along with the keys and personal items, had disappeared.
