A Bam­boo man was robbed of $2,000 in cash dur­ing a home in­va­sion on Mon­day by sev­er­al men he be­lieved to be po­lice of­fi­cers.

The 39-year-old of Bam­boo Set­tle­ment No 3 in Val­sayn, said he was ly­ing on his bed around 3.55 am when he heard a loud knock­ing at the front door and some­one yelling, “Po­lice! Po­lice! Open up.”

Im­me­di­ate­ly di­alling 999, the vic­tim said four masked men broke down the door and en­tered his one-bed­room apart­ment.
