ATTORNEY General Camille Robinson-Regis questioned the fitness of Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar to run TT if elected prime minister in next Monday's general election, addressing a women's platform PNM rally in St James on April 23. She urged voters to "take a long, hard look," as she then referenced the 12 women offering themselves as PNM candidates across TT (in a seeming comparison to Persad-Bissessar).
Robinson-Regis said, "Do you think any of them would need a five-day weekend to catch themselves after working hard for one day? Do you see any of them needing assistance to walk on the stage?
"Do you see any of them doing a motorcade in their constituency rather than walking door to door? Have you heard very clearly what they said or did you hear 'blah, blah, blah'?"
