The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has moved to dispel misinformation circulating on social media regarding an alleged $10,000 fine for persons under the age of 25 who fail to complete a defensive driving course to obtain motor vehicle insurance.
The Ministry clarified that no such requirement currently exists under the laws of Trinidad and Tobago, including the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act or its subsidiary legislation.
