The voices from Trinidad’s watery grave—echoes of the unforgettable and tragic Paria diving incident—will now be heard on an international stage.
Starting today, a podcast series produced by the United Kingdom’s Daily Mail is being launched, shedding new light on the February 2022 tragedy.
Journalist Isabelle Stanley and her team visited Trinidad in February this year, dedicating hours to interviews with the lone survivor, Christopher Boodram, and the families of the four deceased divers: Kazim Ali Jr, Yusuf Henry, Fyzal Kurban and Rishi Nagassar. The podcast will breathe life into the harrowing events of that day when the LMCS divers entered the Paria Fuel Trading Company’s pipeline to conduct maintenance—and never came back.
