Police officers are being promised timely and fresh meals for Carnival, as divisional commanders have been ordered to hire more than one caterer this year.
Speaking with Guardian Media yesterday, Gold Commander, ACP Richard Smith, said there had been issues in the past with police officers either receiving meals late or getting undercooked or spoilt meals. To fix this, he ordered that instead of having one caterer per division, each division should hire two.
