Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) Chief Election Officer Fern Narcis-Scope said that at 6 p.m., when the polls close, all citizens in line will be allowed to vote.
The Express contacted Narcis-Scope and queried whether people in line at 6 p.m. would be allowed to vote, given reports of a high voter turnout and long queues.
She responded, "That is the law… the Presiding Officer is required to identify the last person to join the line at 6:00 p.m., and all persons in the queue are allowed to vote."
