Police are investigating a robbery with violence in Sangre Grande in which a 29-year-old man was assaulted and robbed on Sunday morning.
According to reports, the victim, an oil worker, was waiting in his Nissan Frontier for a female acquaintance he had met online when three unknown male suspects approached him. One of the men was armed with a firearm demanded cash and valuables.
During the incident, the victim was assaulted and relieved of a Republic Bank debit card, a Republic Bank credit card, an iPhone 16 Pro valued at $7,000, and $800 in cash. The victim managed to drive away while being robbed, and the suspects fled the scene.
