In a major national security move, eight detention orders have been issued for the immediate arrest of individuals linked to violent criminal activity, including an alleged plot to carry out a broad daylight assassination in Barataria.
Minister of Homeland Security Roger Alexander confirmed on Wednesday that the orders were signed under the Emergency Powers Regulations (2025), citing serious threats to public safety and intelligence indicating imminent gang violence.
Among those named are Kareem King, Nathaniel “Shirty” Sheppherd, Raphael “Pluppy” St Rose, Khalfini “Kosi” Smith, Kyle “Draco” Farrell, Maliq “Mad Dog” Ferdinand, Nimal Mahadeo, and Terrence “Ice” Maloney.
