A teacher had a frightening encounter with an intruder in her home early Thursday morning in Scarborough.
The 42-year-old woman, of Rose Hill, reported that she secured her house around 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
She was awoken at 5:48 a.m. the following day by someone tapping her leg. She found a man crouched between two beds. The man fled through a door upstairs, climbed over the banister, and was gone.
