The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) says it has become aware of a fraudulent notice circulating to customers, falsely claiming to be an official communication from WASA regarding overdue water bill payments. WASA has strongly condemned the act, “which is clearly intended to deceive and exploit our valued customers.”
This fraudulent message instructs customers to make payments via a suspicious link, which WASA says is not authorized by them.
WASA says it officially engages with customers through formal letters, official emails (from verified WASA domains), and authorized SMS messages.
