People’s National Movement candidate for Caroni Central, Adam Hosein, has issued an apology to the Roman Catholic Chaguanas Parish Church after a video he posted from the Good Friday procession politicised the sacred event.
According to a Facebook post by the St Philip and St James Roman Catholic Church approximately two weeks ago, a supporter of Hosein requested that Fr Steve Ransome allow the political candidate to attend the Good Friday procession.
"On enquiry, Fr Ransome was informed that this political candidate was not a parishioner, nor a Catholic, nor has he ever attended a Good Friday procession in the past," the FB post stated.
