Police shot a suspect yesterday afternoon in Pleasantville during an operation targeting a known offender suspected in multiple firearm-related offences.
Officers from the Ste Madeline Police Station, Ste Madeline CID, the San Fernando Operations and Enquiries Unit, and the Southern Division Road Enforcement Task Force approached the residence of a man know as “Kush Boss,” who was wanted for attempted murder and other firearm offences.
As police announced their presence, he fled to the rear of the house, along a drain, reportedly holding a firearm. Officers ordered him to stop, but he allegedly pointed the weapon at them. In response, a police officer fired. Cush Boss continued running, encountering additional officers, and again allegedly pointed a firearm at a police officer, prompting a second officer to fire a single round.
