UNPRECEDENTED shake-ups at the helm, the country’s shortest stint as prime minister, a resounding defeat at the general polls and its first woman political leader marked the 69th anniversary of the People’s National Movement (PNM) in 2025.
The party started 2025 in government under former political leader and former prime minister Dr Keith Rowley and, by the second quarter, in April, found itself the Opposition.
The PNM in the past 12 months has faced internal rifts over leadership and allegations of misappropriation by several former ministers.
