A police officer has been accused of child cruelty involving his 11-year-old son. The incident came to light after a report was made to the Northeastern Division Child Protection Unit.
The victim, a Standard 5 student at Rosary Boys’ RC School, allegedly suffered physical abuse at the hands of his father, a42-year-old police officer.
The child, who resides in Morvant, reportedly sent distressing photographs to a WhatsApp group chat with fellow students, showing injuries to his face and body.
