A schoolteacher’s attempt to intervene in a roadside altercation in Siparia on Friday ended in a robbery and the destruction of his vehicle.
Around 12:50 p.m., the teacher was driving along Station Street near the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall when he saw a man and woman engaged in a heated argument obstructing traffic. Concerned, he stopped to assess the situation.
The male suspect, described as slim and around six feet tall, reportedly confronted the teacher, brandishing a knife and ordering him to “mind his business.” The suspect then seized the teacher’s car keys, entered the light blue Toyota Aqua, and drove off. The woman involved in the dispute also left the scene.
