A 50-year-old labour­er was shot and wound­ed by an un­known gun­man while dri­ving through Freeport on Sat­ur­day af­ter­noon.

Po­lice said the man was dri­ving his white Nis­san Ti­i­da on Uquire Road near Baksh Av­enue around 5.42 pm when he heard an ex­plo­sion and felt a burn­ing sen­sa­tion on his right shoul­der.

He drove to a hos­pi­tal, where he re­ceived treat­ment and was list­ed in sta­ble con­di­tion.
