UNITED STATES President Donald Trump has confirmed that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s days are numbered.
In a 60 Minutes interview with correspondent Norah O’Donnell, which aired on CBS on Sunday, Trump said he doubts that the US will go to war against Venezuela, but at the same time pointed out that if they were to take strike action, that is not something he would disclose to the media.
Noting the number of air strikes on drug boats in the Caribbean by the US military, and the fact that the world’s largest warship, the USS Gerald R Ford, was heading to the region, O’Donnell asked pointedly, “Are we going to war against Venezuela?”
