What appeared to be a routine box of groceries turned out to be a drug concealment operation when police officers intercepted a Nissan Tiida along the Eastern Main Road near the Lady Young Junction on Friday afternoon.
During a mobile patrol, officers of the Northern Division Task Force were alerted and at around 1:10 p.m., they acted on the tip and stopped the vehicle .
Inside a brown box among grocery items, an officerf discovered a plastic bag containing what initially appeared to be ‘Ouro Branco’ chocolate. However, on closer inspection, several of the individual chocolate wrappers were found to be filled with a white powdery substance resembling cocaine.
