A Cascade woman fought off an attempted robbery on Sunday night after being threatened by an assailant.

Police said that around 7.32 p.m. the woman, of Hololo Mountain Road, Cascade, was exiting her apartment when she was approached by an unknown man.

The suspect, described as approximately 5 ft 4 in tall, dark-skinned, and wearing a maroon T-shirt, reportedly grabbed her handbag and threatened, “I will shoot you.”
