The Indian High Commission has established an India Corner at the library of the Parliament, featuring a curated collection of 351 books covering topics such as Indian polity, diplomacy, economy, history, culture, and the arts.
The exhibition is envisioned as a resource centre for parliamentarians and parliamentary staff, providing access to literature that deepens understanding of India’s democratic and cultural landscape.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Jagdeo Singh described the India Corner as “a reaffirmation of the long and historic ties between India and Trinidad and Tobago, and a tangible symbol of knowledge exchange.”
