Six years af­ter be­ing ar­rest­ed and charged with dri­ving un­der the in­flu­ence of al­co­hol, re­sist­ing ar­rest and as­sault­ing a po­lice of­fi­cer, Naeem Ali, man­ag­ing di­rec­tor of Na­mal­co Con­struc­tion Ser­vices Ltd, has been cleared of all charges. Na­mal­co is a con­struc­tion com­pa­ny based in La Brea, Trinidad.

Ali’s at­tor­neys, Se­nior Coun­sel Pamela El­der and Owen Hinds Jr, suc­cess­ful­ly con­vinced Se­nior Mag­is­trate Er­i­ca Bap­tiste-Ramkissoon that their client had no case to an­swer.

The Siparia Dis­trict Mag­is­trate agreed and of­fi­cial­ly freed Ali of all al­le­ga­tions on Tues­day.
